SPREE MAY SAY GOODBYE

In the New York Post Online Edition I found some important news on the Knicks. Coach Don Chaney said he wants a veteran with experience and some young players to develop and quickness. They might trade Latrell Sprewell for a player like Keith Van Horn of the Philadelphia 76ers. That would be a very good trade for both teams because AI and Latrell are a good combo and Keith and Allan Houston would also be a good combo.

Other names that have been mentioned are Memphis’ Stromile Swift and Lorenzen Wright, Chicago’s Marcus Fizer, Houston’s Eddie Griffin, Dallas’ Raef LaFrentz and Shawn Bradley, and Portland’s Dale Davis.

Keith Van Horn will help the Knicks because he has some quickness, experience in the NBA finals and this would be his 4th NBA team.

The trade would be good for the 76ers because Latrell could lower AI’s minutes since he usually has to play the whole game. But I don’t think Latrell would want to be traded to any team because he probably likes big Madison Square Garden, loves all the fans and is used to playing in that New York jersey and, finally, because he likes playing with Knicks star Allan Houston.

GOOD LUCK LATRELL, WHEREVER YOU GO!
