My Thoughts On The Knicks Deals!

The New York Knicks made two big deals yesterday. First, they traded Jamal Crawford to Golden State for Al Harrington. Then, they sent Zach Randolph to the LA Clippers for Cuttino Mobley and Tim Thomas. These aren't really great basketball trades, but they're still great trades. The Knicks have freed up some money to run after LJ and one of his friends.

Stephen A. Smith explains:

I don't think a pairing of LJ and Amare Stoudamire would be bad. I agree that Walsh made great moves, but he's still got to back this up get the big money guys in 2010. If he can't do that, this was all done for nothing. But, like I said before, I have faith in him. I hope all of New York does, they've still got to employ patience.

I wonder if they're going to trade away high draft picks to keep cap space open. I wouldn't be surprised to see them near the top of the lottery, especially since they lost their threat down low.

Anyway, good job Knicks management! It feels good to write that.
