A FEW DEALS MADE BEFORE TODAY'S TRADE DEADLINE!

Today marked the trade deadline for the NBA and very few teams were active.

First, the biggest deal in my opinion today was Fred Jones and future considerations to the Blazers and Juan Dixon to the Raptors. I think Dixon is a great player, but I want to see if he fits into Toronto. Fred Jones was inconsistent as a Raptor and should develop more on a bad team like the Blazers.

Next, the Mavericks dealt Anthony Johnson to the Hawks for a second round pick. I like this deal for the Mavs because Johnson is a good player but didn't get enough playing time in their system. It doesn't matter what the Hawks do until they start winning but this won't hurt them.

The Sixers shipped Alan Henderson to the Jazz for 2007 second-round draft picks. I like this move for the Sixers more than Jazz because they need more young talent as they rebuild and Henderson doesn't do much but rebound. I think it gives the Jazz some depth down low and adds a scrappy rebound specialist to their attack.

NO BLOCKBUSTERS THIS TIME!
