COMMENT YOU SHOULD KNOW ABOUT! Today I received a great comment from Alex Hill, who tried out for the Strong Dogs, a team that never made it, but now plays for the Orlando Aces in the ABA. He's a blogger too. Check him out at: www.alexhill.blogspot.com which lets you know all about his basketball hopes and dreams. Here is what he sent me: "Man, You are amazing. I just checked out your blog and you are on point to be so young man. You have a great future ahead of you. I noticed that I am in one of your pics too. You have pics from the Tampa Bay Strongdogs tryouts. On one of the pics you have a quote that says "A layup is just hanging on the rim for one Strong Dogs hopeful", I'm the guy closest to the camera with the dreds. I tried out with them, but decided to play with the Orlando Aces (orlandoaces.com) instead. Anyways check out the personal Blog I just started, we have the same name so it should be easy to remember. It's www.alexhillbasketball.blogspot.com, let me know what you think." THANKS FOR MAKING ME FEEL SO GOOD, ALEX. KEEP THEM COMING!

The Sony Ericsson Open is currently the largest tournament in the world with Title

Sponsorship. When Butch Buchholz established the event in 1985, it marked the first time in

56 years that a new two-week tournament featuring men and women was launched. Located in

Delray Beach (Laver’s International Tennis Center) in 1985 and Boca Raton (Boca West) in

1986, the tournament found a permanent home in 1987 on Miami’s Key Biscayne. In 1994,

Miami-Dade County christened the Tennis Center at Crandon Park, a 30-acre expanse that is

transformed each year from a public tennis facility into a full-fledged festival for the

Sony Ericsson Open. The Sony Ericsson Open was awarded “Tournament of the Year” by the ATP

for four consecutive years and seven of the last eight years and in 2004 by the Sony

Ericsson WTA Tour and is considered one of the most prestigious titles in professional

tennis. In 1999, the tournament was purchased by IMG.

The only combined 12-day Tennis Masters Series event on the ATP and Sony Ericsson WTA Tour

calendar, the Sony Ericsson Open features the world's top-ranked pros – 96 men and 96 women

in singles competition, and 32 men's teams and 32 women's teams in doubles action. The men’s

final is best 3-out-of-5 sets with every other match in both men’s and women’s singles and

doubles will be best 2-out-of-3.

Known as Tennis' 5th Grand Slam, the Sony Ericsson Open is second only to the US Open in

attendance for American events.Championship Tennis Tours since 1987 sells Sony Ericsson Open
