After 13 straight win the Dallas Mavericks lost to the Denver Nuggets 113-104. The Mavs had 24 turnovers which is 11 more than they average and the Nuggets were the first team the Mavs let get over 100 since the streak. Kmart almost had a all time high but was 1 point off with 34 points and 9 boards in 37 minutes. It's important for Martin to have games like this so he can brush off all the trade rumors and this was probably a bigger game for Martin mentally. Andre Miller had 17 points and 10 assists in 37 minutes. Miller dropped a few dimes and came up big against a great team. Greg Buckner had 8 points and 7 steals in 37 minutes. Buckner's steals added up the Mavs turnovers and that was definitely a big key to the game. Carmelo Anthony had 24 points and 10 dimes in 39 minutes. Melo had a good team mind set and got his team to be better by passing. The Nuggets had 9 less turnovers and points off turnovers is the big part of getting the W. Jason Terry had 16 points and 10 dimes in 35 minutes. Terry's defense has to be better for the Mavs to keep winning. Dirk Nowitzki had 19 points and 8 boards in 47 minutes. Dirk was held to 19 by the great effort on both ends for the Nuggets. Keith Van Horn had 21 points and 7 boards in 31 minutes off the bench. If Van Horn leads the team off the bench you must be getting beat pretty bad.
