HAWKS GIVE UP GLOVER

I heard that the Atlanta Hawks will let Dion Glover be a free agent at midnight tonight. I hope the Hawks do not lose Dion because he is an awesome player. Jason Kidd will also become a free agent at midnight.

GOOD LUCK DION
BIG BUCKS TRADE

I just now heard that the Bucks traded Sam Cassell and Evrin Johnson for the Timberwolves Joe Smith and Anthony Peeler. It was a very bad trade becase Sam Cassell is a great player and the Bucks should have kept him. The Bucks do not need Ervin Johnson because he is not as good any more.

BAD TRADE BUCKS!

LAKERS GET TWO NEW PLAYERS!

Last night at the NBA draft the Lakers had two picks - the 24th pick and the 32nd pick. The new players are Brian Cook and Luke Walton. Luke Walton was a good pick for the Lakers for more offense. He is the son of Celtics legend, Bill Walton ("Throw it down"). This will really help the Lakers next season!

GOOD LUCK AS LAKERS YOU TWO!
LEBRON JAMES IS PICKED!

Last night at the 2003 NbA draft the first pick was the Cavs. They picked LeBron James! On the Cavs and the NBA website there are two nice pixs of LeBron James in his new road jersey. I heard LeBron James jerseys cost $140 dollars. I am very happy for LeBron James and his new team. The Cavs got some other good picks to go with LeBron James. I think Cleveland is very lucky to have a player like Lebron James. The Cavs will do much better next season!

GOOD LUCK IN CLEVELAND LEBRON!

CHECK IT OUT! CHUCK IS COOL!
KOBE'S SHOE DEAL

Yesterday CNN reported that Kobe's new shoe deal with Nike will be worth $45 million. Kobe paid $8 million to Addidas to get out of his contract. Kobe deserves more than $45 million that's half as much as LeBron James is getting.

Kobe played great in the 2002-03 season so he should get $100 million because he's a proven NBA superstar! I like LeBron but I still think that Kobe should get more.

KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK, KOBE!

NEW NIKE SHOE DEAL FOR KOBE

I heard that Kobe Bryant of the Los Angeles Lakers signed a new shoe deal with Nike. He deserves it because he worked so hard during the 02-03 season. The amount of money was not announced yet. They are thinking of getting Kobe's signature on his shoes. This teams him up with LeBron James, upcoming NBA superstar and Carmelo Anthony, another upcoming NBA star.

Nike is fortunate to have such NBA stars for their line of shoes. They will make lots and lots of money. I wish I was that Nike salesman who signed up all those great players!

GOOD LUCK WITH NIKE, KOBE!

SPREE MAY SAY GOODBYE

In the New York Post Online Edition I found some important news on the Knicks. Coach Don Chaney said he wants a veteran with experience and some young players to develop and quickness. They might trade Latrell Sprewell for a player like Keith Van Horn of the Philadelphia 76ers. That would be a very good trade for both teams because AI and Latrell are a good combo and Keith and Allan Houston would also be a good combo.

Other names that have been mentioned are Memphis' Stromile Swift and Lorenzen Wright, Chicago's Marcus Fizer, Houston's Eddie Griffin, Dallas' Raef LaFrentz and Shawn Bradley, and Portland's Dale Davis.

Keith Van Horn will help the Knicks because he has some quickness, experience in the NBA finals and this would be his 4th NBA team.

The trade would be good for the 76ers because Latrell could lower AI's minutes since he usually has to play the whole game. But I don't think Latrell would want to be traded to any team because he probably likes big Madison Square Garden, loves all the fans and is used to playing in that New York jersey and, finally, because he likes playing with Knicks star Allan Houston.

GOOD LUCK LATRELL, WHEREVER YOU GO!

What I'm Writing About During the Off Season

Since the NBA season is over I am going to write about NBA history and the upcoming 2003 NBA draft and a full column on LeBron James and his new NBA team and any other important news. Plus I'll share information about any autographs or pictures that I collect. But mostly it will be about NBA history. I will start soon once I do my research so check in when you can.

By the way I just turned 10 on June 20th so now I've entered the double digits. For my 10th birthday I got autographs of Kobe Bryant and LeBron James. They were two of the best presents that I ever got. Thanks mom!

CHECK IN SOON PLEASE!

NETS LOSE FINALS

It was a big Game 6. The Nets could not hold on and stop the Spurs from winning the championship. It was nice to see the Admiral go out with a championship but it was sad that the Nets had to lose. The Nets were leading in the early going but the Spurs came back fast and won 88-77. Kenyon Martin played better but the rest of the team couldn't do enough. The Nets worked hard but not hard enough, I guess.

The Nets have gone to the finals two straight years and have lost to the Lakers and the Spurs. If they work harder maybe they can become champions. But I hope they don't lose Jason Kidd when he becomes a free agent on July 1st. There's been a rumor going around that he might go to the Spurs but I hope that doesn't happen. I'd rather see him on a team like Boston, Memphis or he can stay at home with the Nets.

GOOD TRY NETS! HOPE YOU HAVE A GREAT LIFE, DAVID ROBINSON!

NETS SADLY LOSE GAME 5

The New Jersey Nets needed to win game 5 but didn't 93-83. They wore their throw back jerseys. Steve Kerr came off the bench and scored 7 big points. Kenyon Martin had 9 rebounds. I don't know any of the other stats. Jason Kidd had 29 points. Now the Nets have to win every game in San Antonio. The Nets have to come and win the next 2 games.

GOOD JOB NETS BUT LET'S TRY HARDER NEXT TIME!

THE NEW JERSEY NETS WIN GAME 4!!!!

It was down to the last seconds in the 2003 NBA finals. The Nets were up 77-76. It was Spurs ball. They inbounded it into Giniboli. He faked a 3 and then shot a 3 and missed. Jason Kidd got the rebound. Tim Duncan snatched it away and made a shot but it didn't matter because the Nets weathered the storm 77-76. Now the Series is tied at 2. The next game is in New Jersey and then San Antonio.

The Nets can pull it off, I think. Just two more games and then the Nets win the Finals! It's going to be a good next 2 games.

GOOD JOB NETS! JUST 2 MORE GAMES AND WE WIN THE NBA FINALS!!!
KOBE HAS SURGERY IN NEW YORK

Today Kobe will undergo surgery on his shoulder in New York. I'm glad that he said to go on with the surgery instead of maybe having it get worse. Too bad he won't be able to play in the USA qualification. I think a player like Jason Kidd should replace him because he has played very well this season and would help the USA team if they didn't have Kobe. I hope Kobe will be ready for the 03-04 season after his surgery. I'm sure he'll come out as strong as can be.

HAVE A GOOD SURGERY, KOBE! GET BACK SOON! THE LAKERS NEED YOU THIS SEASON!
NEW TEAM IN CHARLOTTE

Earlier yesterday David Stern was in Charlotte to announce and show the new logo of the Charlotte team named the Charlotte BOBCATS. They have one of the coolest logos but I don't know what their jerseys are going to look like yet. The new Charlotte arena looks great from the drawings. I think the Bobcats will love it! Charlotte will probably get more attention and won't be one of the worst teams in attendance. They'll be one of the best with their new name, new logo and probably new jerseys.

GOOD LUCK IN CHARLOTTE, YOU BOBCATS!

JEFF VAN GUNDY ROCKETS NEW HEAD COACH

Today Jeff Van Gundy accepted a deal with the Houston Rockets to be their new head coach. It was a very good decision by the Houston Rockets. Jeff Van Gundy is a great coach and will help Yao Ming in his sophomore season.

Van Gundy had two years away from coaching. He used to coach the New York Knicks who were so bad he had to quit.

I think Yao Ming and Stevie Francis are happy about this decision and will love having Jeff Van Gundy, who in my opinion, is a fabulous coach. This will help Stevie and Yao just get better.

GOOD LUCK IN HOUSTON, JEFF!

NEW ORLEANS GETS NEW COACH

Tim Floyd was named the new head coach of the New Orleans Hornets after firing Paul Silas who is now with the Cavaliers. Tim Floyd coached the Chicago Bulls after Michael Jordan left and had one of the worst records as a coach in the NBA history. I think it might be a good move but if not they should get a new coach at the end of the season.

Good Luck there, Tim!
SPURS WIN GAME 3

The San Antonio Spurs won Game 3 in New Jersey. The score was 84-79. Jewel performed at half time. She was very good singing Standing Still and another song.

Jason Kidd only had 10 points during the entire game. Bruce Willis was at the game wearing a Jason Kidd alternate jersey. KMart had an okay game and almost fouled out with 5 fouls. Kerry Kittles had 15 or more points and he had some big shots to get it close. Dikembe Motombo didn't do much this time but he'll be ready for Game 4 on Wednesday at 8:30PM. NBA Shootaround will be at 8PM on ABC. The next two games will be in New Jersey so let's hope the Nets can pull both of the games and be up 3 to 2 in the 2003 NBA Finals.

The team that wins Game 3 of an NBA Finals Series tied at 1 usually goes on to win the Series 87% of the time. So the Nets have the statistics against them. I hope we can prove that the statistics don't matter in this Series.

LET'S GO NETS. LET'S KEEP IT GOING AND STOP THE SPURS FROM WINNING ANOTHER GAME IN NEW JERSEY!

COME BACK WIN FOR THE NEW JERSEY NETS IN GAME 2

Last night the Nets started out bad down by as many as 7 but came back to win 87-85. The reason the Spurs lost was because of their careless 22 turnovers or more maybe. I don't think anybody performed at half time (I was playing NBA Street Volume 2 which rocks - I just got it for an early birthday present). In Game 3 Jewel will perform at half time. The show starts at 8PM with NBA Shootaround and then at 8:30PM the game will get underway on ABC in New Jersey now for the next 3 games.

Plus the Nets had a big boost from 30 points from Jason Kidd, 20 more than he had in Game 1. KMart didn't have as good a game but it's still good to have him in there. Dikembe Mutombo had another great game and the New Jersey Net's bench had, I think, over 15 points. Sparking that bench was Lucious Harris who had 6 or more points and made his first 3 shots.

GO NEW JERSEY! It's Your Birthday We're Gonna Party Like It's Your Birthday!

KOBE MIGHT NEED SURGERY AND MISS PLAYING WITH USA TEAM

The Lakers found out Kobe Bryant was hurt on April 22 after trying to slam dunk. But today I heard that he might need surgery on his shoulder during the off season and miss being on the USA team. I would like Kobe to have surgery now or it could get worse plus the Lakers can't have Kobe play on the USA team and miss some of the season. That would mess up the Lakers season again.

HOPE YOU GET BETTER SOON KOBE!

SPURS COME BACK WIN

Last night the New Jersey Nets had the first 6 points of the 2003 NBA Finals. But the Spurs heated a run to get it close. During a special toss before the game of an old ABA ball, Julius Irving (Dr. J) and George Gervin (the Iceman) both tossed the ball and then the game started. The final score in Game One of the 2003 NBA Finals was Spurs 101, Nets 89. It was a hard loss for the Nets after rolling in the first quarter.

Lisa Marie Presley performed at half time. She sang her hit song called (I think) Sinking In.

The Nets will have to recover in Game 2 from a hard Game One loss. Game 2 will be on Friday with NBA Shootaround at 8PM (I think) - ESTon ABC. At 8:30PM Game 2 will begin.

Dikembe Mutombo had a very good game off of the bench, diving for a loss ball and blocking a shot by Tim Duncan. I think the Nets will recover and make this a 5 or 6 game series or maybe even 7.

David Robinson also had a good game with over 11 points and 4 or 5 blocks.

COME ON NETS! WE'LL RECOVER AND TAKE IT BACK INTO NEW JERSEY!

CAVS HIRE NEW COACH

Today Paul Silas was hired as the Cavs head coach. He will be the first NBA coach to coach LeBron James. I think the two will get along. Now the Cavs have a new coach and LeBron James and that will help them a lot in the 2003-2004 season.

GOOD LUCK COACHING THE CAVS PAUL SILAS!

LARRY BROWN NEW JOB TOO

Today another coach was hired. It was Larry Brown who will coach the Detroit Pistons. I did not want that to happen because I liked him coaching A.I. and the 76ers. But he is a very good coach and will sadly help the Pistons.

GOOD LUCK LARRY!
FINALS COMING

Just to give you a schedule of the finals. All the games will start at 8PM on ABC and they begin on June 4th. The Nets and the Spurs will face each other with the San Antonio Spurs controlling home court advantage. But it doesn't matter the Nets are going to cream them in the Finals.

NETS WE'VE GOT THIS ALREADY. JUST COME OUT STRONG. WE'VE HAD 10 DAYS OFF AND THEY'VE ONLY HAD FIVE! BOO SPURS. GO NETS!!!!!!!!!!!
LAKERS MINUS FINALS

I think the Lakers are losing some valuable players this year like Samaki Walker, Robert Horry and Brian Shaw. But I think the Lakers will come out strong especially Kobe after he cried when they lost to the Spurs in Game 6. Shaq will be stronger but recently he did not show up for a meeting with Phil Jackson. He will take responsibility for it and come out strong in the 03-04 season.

Losing Robert Horry and Brian Shaw is a big thing. Lately Samaki Walker hasn't done much so the Lakers should replace him easily but it's hard to fill in a guy for Horry and Shaw. The Lakers might find good players like Karl Malone and Scottie Pippen to come onto their team which would help them with Shaq's minutes and Pippen could help at the small forward or the point guard position. That would be a big help because Derek Fisher also has to play lots of minutes.

It's been a hard season for the Los Angeles Lakers but there's always another season so we'll gain it back on our side. The ring will come back next year!

COME ON LAKERS LET'S PULL IT TOGETHER AND COME BACK NEXT SEASON FOR THAT RING!
