COACH FIRED

I just heard that head coach of the Pistons Rick Carlisle was fired. They hope to have Larry Brown coach them for the 2003-2004 season. If Larry Brown does coach the Pistons it would be a good choice. If not it would be bad because Rick Carlisle is a good coach. That's the 9th coach fired in the 2002 -2003 season.

HOPE YOU FIND A GOOD TEAM TO COACH NEXT YEAR!
WIZARDS FIRE COACH

Yesterday I heard that the Wizards fired their coach, Doug Collins. Now the Wizards are without Jordan and a coach. But they will probably get a good new coach next year. They're talking about Larry Brown but I think he will go to the Clippers now that I heard he takes his vacation there.

HOPE YOU GET A GOOD NEW COACH NEXT YEAR!

SPURS BIG COME BACK WIN

A hard game for the Mavs without Dirk. The Spurs were down by as many as 15 but came back to win 90-78. Steve Kerr helped with 4 3s to spark the Spurs to the NBA finals. The Mavs just could not hold on to force game 7.

GOOD TRY MAYBE NEXT YEAR!

NEW MEMBERS ON USA TEAM!

Yesterday the last three members for the USA team were named. They were Richard Jefferson, Elton Brand and Nick Collison. I think those three will really help the USA team!

GOOD LUCK USA TEAM!

LARRY BROWN STEPS DOWN

The Sixers coach Larry Brown said "I have taken the Sixers as far as I can." When he stepped down as head coach last night. I think it was a bad choice to leave the 76ers. But now maybe Jeff Van Gundy can coach the 76ers. There are 3 big head coach jobs for next season the Sixers, Rockets and the Cavs.

GOOD LUCK WITH A NEW TEAM LARRY!

SPURS WIN

Before this game started at exactly 7:13 pm (Central Time) an alarm went off in the American Airlines Arena. Everybody was evacuated except the teams. They stayed in their locker rooms the whole time. There was a fire in the kitchen and it set off the alarm. It happened once before a few months ago against the Bulls. The game was delayed by 25 minutes. But it did not effect Steve Nash, Bruce Bowen or Malik Rose. The game finally started at 9:00 pm.

The Mavs were on a tear but they could not hold the Spurs from winning 102-95. It was a big loss for the Mavericks without Dirk. Now it's DO or DIE time for the Mavs. Down 3 to 1 in their series they have to win all their games if they want to win the series. Hopefully, Dirk will be back in Game 5 in San Antonio.

Game 6 will be held in Dallas if necessary. Game 7 if necessary will be held in San Antonio. It was one crazy game!

COME ON MAVS! WE'VE GOT TO GET DIRK BACK AND WIN THIS SERIES!

DIRK QUESTIONABLE AND MAY MISS 10-14 DAYS

Dirk did get better later today but he might be out for 10-14 days I heard on ESPN while I was watching the game tonight. That will be a big loss for the Mavs. Even Michael Finley said he probably won't play tomorrow night either which is surprising because he's on the same team as Dirk.

Hope you can play tomorrow night, Dirk!

NETS WIN EASTERN CONFERENCE FINALS!

Just a few minutes ago the New Jersey Nets were awarded the Eastern Conference Finals trophy and Jason Kidd said "our job isn't done yet". That's true because they still have to win the finals against the Spurs or Mavs. But everybody was rocking in the Continental Airlines Arena. Jason Kidd, of course, held up the trophy next to his son and Kenyon Martin went crazy. Everybody was happy except the Pistons who just walked after hugging all the players and coaches.

The Nets players put on their hats and shirts that declared them the Eastern Conference Finals Winners!

OKAY NETS WE'VE MADE IT THIS FAR NOW LET'S FINISH IT OFF AGAINST THE SPURS OR THE MAVS!
TAKE OVER NETS!
ROCKETS HEAD COACH STEPS DOWN

Yesterday I saw that head coach of the Houston Rockets Rudy Tomjanovich stepped down as head coach. He did it because of bladder cancer. So now the Rockets have to find a new coach.

HOPE YOU GET BETTER SOON RUDY!

LEBRON SIGNS A SHOE DEAL

Yesterday LeBron James signed a big shoe contract with Nike for $90 million dollars over 7 years. That's a lot of dough for someone who's just finishing high school. That's more than Michael Jordan ever got from Nike. More shoes news is that Carmelo Anthony signed a deal with Nike also for $3.5 million dollars for 6 years, I think. Now both of them are going to be at the same company. Those are two good players at one good company. Nike must be really happy about having them for their first shoe deals.

DRAFT LOTTERY PICKS 1-13

The 13th pick of the 2003 NBA draft goes to the Memphis Grizzlies. I had hoped that Memphis would have gotten the number one pick so they could have gotten LeBron and been a very good team instead of a bad team. Instead the team that got the number one pick is the Cleveland Cavaliers. They will probably pick LeBron James who is coming out of high school into the NBA. The second pick went to the Detroit Pistons and they said they'll pick the guy from Yugoslavia, I think - Darko. He's a left handed player and he is 7 feet tall. He will play center for the Detroit Pistons and Ben Wallace will be moved to the power forward. The third pick went to the Denver Nuggets and they will probably pick Carmelo Anthony who was the MVP of the NCAA Final Four last season.

NETS WIN AGAIN!

The New Jersey Nets dominated Game 3 of the best of 7 series in the eastern conference finals. In the first quarter, Kenyon Martin was all over with 14 points and finished with 19. Jason Kidd was on a roll and had a playoff career high of 34 points. The Nets rallied and won 97-85. In one more game the Nets can move onto the NBA finals for the second straight season.

The Pistons must be feeling really bad because they're probably going to lose this series on the road. Actually it might be better because if you lost it at home it would look more embarrassing in front of everybody that goes for your team. Next year the Pistons will probably do better if Darko can really play like they say he can.

The Nets will probably get this series no problem in Game 4. With Jason Kidd having a big playoff career high he'll have some momentum going into Game 4.

LET'S GO NETS! WE'RE ABOUT TO WIN THIS SERIES AND GO TO THE NBA FINALS - AGAIN!

THE NETS JUST WIN AGAIN

It was once again a game that game down to the final seconds. It was Detroit's ball like last time. They passed it into Chauncey Billups and Jason Kidd was right in his face. Billups still the shot. He made contact but the refs did not call the foul. Chauncey Billups must be feeling really bad because he let his team down in game 2. Now the Nets have probably got this series wrapped up because they're back in New Jersey up 2-0 in the series. Jason Kidd had 20 points and Kenyon Martin cashed in for 26 points and 15 in the 4th quarter which gave them a big boost.

LET'S RALLY NETS - WE'RE GOING TO THE FINALS AGAIN!

LEBRON WORTH MILLIONS

I heard on SportsCenter that LeBron's shoes might make him a millionaire. Companies are offering LeBron 80 million dollars or 100 million dollars. I wonder why a company would spend that much on a guy? I think LeBron deserves it. He is a fantastic player. Plus the Draft Lottery is this Thursday at 8:00 p.m. on ABC.

LEBRON, I HOPE YOU HAVE A GOOD NBA SEASON NEXT YEAR!

DALLAS WIN 1

The Dallas Mavericks probably won the game because of 59 straight free throws. Dallas just might win this series if they win game two. Then they would have momentum in Dallas. Game two will be a big game for both teams in the Playoffs. It will give momentum to the team that wins.

COME ON DALLAS LET'S WIN GAME 2!

NETS WIN GAME 1

The New Jersey Nets were okay in game 1. The Detroit Pistons had too many scoring droughts. The game came down to the seconds. The Nets 76-74. Jason Kidd just hit a big shot over two defenders. It was Detroit ball. They needed to inbound the ball but they had to take a timeout because of a 5 second violation. Next time they got it inbounds, took a shot but missed. Then the Nets won game 1! Jason Kidd had 15 points.

GOOD JOB NETS! LET'S WIN THIS SERIES!

76ERS DONE???

Last night in 76er land the Sixers were up by two. With about 3:00 minutes left Allen Iverson was playing great. The lead was now 4 with just about a 1:00 minute left. It was a tie game under a minute to go. The Pistons made a big basket and were up by 2. Then AI took a very tough shot and missed. They fouled Atkins with 6 seconds left. Greg Buckner missed a 3. That sadly was the end of the Sixers.

GOOD SEASON WE WILL GO TO THE FINALS NEXT YEAR!

THE KINGS FORCE GAME 7

The Kings did a good job of forcing game 7. The Mavs I think are going to lose this series. The Kings might sweep the Spurs and lose the finals to the Nets or Sixers.
THE LAKERS LOSE THEIR SERIES

The Lakers lost game 6 110-82. The loss put Kobe Bryant and Derek Fisher in tears. Robert Horry said " it was his fault." It kind of was because if he would have made that 3 at the buzzer in game 5, then game 6 would not have eliminated them in game 6. Shaq had 31 points. Kobe only had 20 in which is now the end of the Lakers season.
GOOD TRY. NEXT YEAR WE WILL BE CHAMPS AGAIN!

SIXERS LOSE LAST NIGHT

Just in the last seconds the Detroit Pistons hit a huge, huge bucket and won the game 78-77. The Sixers came back to almost win it but Tayshaun Prince would not be held back from scoring. He's a good rookie but wasn't a good rookie in the season which is weird that a rookie would step in the playoffs rather than in the season.

PHIL JACKSON BRINGS HELP TO GAME 5

When Phil Jackson was back for Game 5 of the Lakers Spurs series he brought his doctor, an extra ambulance just in case something happened to his health. But he was fine and did not leave the game.

LAKERS LOSE GAME 5

The Lakers were down by over 30 points. They made a big run but lost 96-94. Robert Horry's 3 went off the rim. Emanuel Ginobili really hurts us off the bench. Bruce Bowen is a good defender and can stop Kobe a bit.

COME ON LAKERS LETS WIN IN STAPLES!

LAKERS RALLY IN COME BACK WIN

It was a big game. The Lakers did not have Phil Jackson. It was big game 4. The Lakers were playing very bad in the 1st but came back to win the game. Now the series is tied at 2. Kobe had 37 points. Shaq had 29. Devean George hit a lot of big shots in the 4th.
LET'S WIN THE SERIES LAKERS. GO LAKERS GO LAKERS!

The Magic Lose Their Series

I could not believe Game 7 in Detroit. The Magic could not get anything. Tracy only had 21 points. Where was the rest of the team besides Drew Gooden? I think they were trapped by the defense of the Detroit Pistons since they have had the defensive player of the year for the past 2 seasons. It was a sad and hard loss for the Magic but I think they'll do better next year with new players and maybe even new staff. Grant Hill should be back next season.

JOHN RETIRES

I heard today that John Stockton of the Utah Jazz has retired from the NBA after 19 seasons of excellent play with the Jazz. It must be a sad day in Salt Lake City. I don't think John Stockton will come back to the NBA unless he doen't have fun doing what he's going to do now. I hope Karl will be okay without him. It will be a different team with John. He's one of the BEST point guards in the history of the NBA. That's JOHN STOCKTON, the point guard who will always pass it like real point guard! Hope you have fun in your future, John! I will miss you! Next season maybe Mark Jackson will be the starting point guard for the Utah Jazz.

The Blazers Lose Their Series in Game 7

In Dallas the Blazers could have made NBA history but they didn't. They could have been the first team to have ever rallied from being 3 games down. But sadly they could not win the series. I think they'll do much better next year with Scottie Pippen back for the next playoffs.

WHY DID TIM GET MVP?

Tim Duncan is the last player I think that deserved MVP this season. He got it LAST YEAR! He does not deserve it. Kobe was such a great player this season pulling unimaginable dunks, shots and plays. Tim Duncan - the rest of the team does his dirty work.He just scores. Kobe works hard and gets his own rebounds, points and assists. That is a much bigger package that Tim Duncan has. BOO TIM! You do not deserve it. KOBE YOU'RE THE TRUE MVP!

LAKERS WIN THE SERIES AGAINST THE TWOLVES

Kobe Bryant had a big 3rd quarter with 2 allyopps and finished with 31 points and had some sweet passes including a allyopp to Devin George in the 4th. Shaq had 24 points and was 1 assist shy of a triple double. He could not get the assist. Derek Fisher had a good game defending against Troy Hudson. He held him under 20 points I think.

Let's Get the Spurs in Round 2! GO LAKERS!!!!

MOST IMPROVED PLAYER

The NBA named its Most Improved Player yesterday. It was a really deserving player of Gilbert Arenas. He had such a great season with the Golden State Warriors. Golden State had 17 more wins than last season. That's a sign of the coach and Gilbert Arenas. Gilbert is very deserving on his excellent play during the season. He deserves more minutes for how good he was this season.

Keep it up GILBERT!

BOSTON BEATS INDIANA

The Boston Celtics had a great game 6 against Indiana. They once made 15 straight shots and knocked out the Indiana Pacers. After the game Ron Artest had a fight with one of the coaches on his own team and said two cuss words.

Now, sadly, Reggie Miller is a free agent.

JAZZ LOSE SERIES AGAINST THE KINGS

The Jazz blew their season against the Kings in the first round 4 to 1. Karl Malone had a good series but not good enough for the rest of his teammates. I hope John does not retire this year. I don't think Karl will. He said he has about 2 more years in him on the Budweiser Hot Seat.

THANKS FOR THE MEMORIES JOHN!
